#RandomActsofDecember

Tis' the season of giving...So I've decided to team up with one of my good friends Jess, over at Handmade Creativity. (Make sure you check out her blog after you're done reading) 

 

 We've been discussing ideas for awhile now, and we've finally decided that we want to do 100 "random" acts of kindness in the month of December. Don't worry folks, that's between the two of us, not each individually. So all we have to say is, watch out Northwest Ohio!! Most of the Acts will be somewhat planned out, due to them involving money and of course planning. Don't worry though, the randomness will be in who receives the kindness, so you never know if we might reach out to you. 

So look forward to a lot of kindness, love, peace and good karma flowing around Northwest Ohio from December 1-31! We've got tons of things planned from donations to gift cards to even bigger and better things in the works!

Keep Trying


Okay, so I already failed  at my goal of blogging a few times a week...oopsie! Last week, I just wanted on my "A-game" whatsoever. 

But, I'm here. I came back, I returned. You can't get rid of me that fast.  

Anyway, I think I'm going to blog about my goals for the rest of the year, along with some goals I already have in mind for next year.

  So stay tuned, because I will be posting them shortly.

To Blog or Not To Blog?

My goal for the rest of the year 2013' is to blog 3-5x a week!! If I blog more than that, then good for me, but I really want to become a great blogger. So I need practice, lots and lots of practice. Let's start now!! 

I'll still be focusing on my weight loss/fitness journey.

Since the last time I blogged back in July, I've stopped being a Beachbody coach, I plan on returning to them sometime next year. I just couldn't afford it financially at the moment. Michelle (my significant other) finished school, and I was the only one working for 5 months, so I decided to put Beachbody on the back burner for the time being.

But, I will not stop!! Cause we won't stop... haha. Oh she's just being Miley!

Anyway...

Here's a update:


I'm honestly proud of myself! Picture on the left was from May 2011 @ my friends wedding. Picture on the right from October 2013!! Down 60 lbs since I started my fitness/health journey since January 2012. I've had my ups and downs, my days where I want to give up. I've had days where old habits sneak back in somehow and then I quickly show them to the door. I've had insecurities and I've had triumphs. I'm done comparing my journey to someone elses. I haven't had help from a doctor, just all myself. I've fallen in love with running and life again. While doing so I'm starting to fall in love with the person I'm meant to be.

Guess who's back?! Jenny's back!!! I've been running here and there but I didn't feel like MYSELF while running till TODAY!!!! #pushthrough the hard days, the mental blocks, the self doubts, the "I don't want to days," the "I'm too tired moments!" Cause here's a secret...ITS SOOOOO WORTH IT AT THE END!!!

I've Been A Little M.I.A. Lately

I've been spending less and less time on social media sites. Such as Facebook, Instagram, blogger, I've even spent less time checking my emails...My mind just has felt full lately. Full of thoughts, anxiety, stress, possibilities, dreams, unhappiness with my job. 

On a happy, positive note though. Michelle (my fiancé) graduates today from Police Academy!!! So proud of her! We're hoping she hears back from any of the places she's applied at. We're both ready for a new beginning. I'm ready to leave this town and start fresh, make new friends, new memories, just new everything! 

So while I've been MIA I still managed to take a million pictures, cause that's what I love to do. Take a bunch of pointless, random, beautiful pics. So here's a few...

Love Yourself


So what was your first answer? 

Are you happy? Yes or no? 

Within the past week I've fallen into a sort of depression self loathing slump. I'll be the first one to admit, I'm an over-thinker. I tend to create more stress for myself than needed. I have a good life and have lots to be thankful for. So it's time to climb out of this slump! :)

Firstly though I blame the weather lately here in ohio. It's literally rained every single day for the past 2 weeks. I'm not talking about a sprinkle here and there, I'm talking about "our rivers are flooding, backyards are ruined, crops won't be in need of watering for awhile"-type of rain. 
I'd rather have it snow then rain for 2 weeks straight. One day I want to live in paradise. Haha. Don't we all? 

On a side note... 
Here's a few pictures of the aftermath from yesterday's rain/wind/tornado warning storm.

Luckily though everyone has been kept safe and no tornados actually hit yesterday. Thank goodness!!!! 

Now where was I?...oh yeah, I was talking about the depression slump I was starting to drown in. Reason why I brought up blaming Ohio's weather, is cause I need me some natural vitamin D!! I've always dealt with my hormones being somewhat off balanced, my T.O.M. (Time of month) never used to be regular, till last year. That's one of the reasons why I started to run everyday. It helped tremendously with my hormones and helped make my T.O.M.  regular. I haven't been running/exercising as much as I used to lately. *ding ding* winner winner chicken dinner, we have a winner! Problem solved! Answer is I need to start running/exercising daily. Even when I "don't" want to!! 

No more excuses!!!!!

Recovering From the 4th

Hope everyone had an amazing 4th of July!! However you spent your day, hopefully you were PRESENT in the moment, in whatever you were doing.
No one is promised a tomorrow, so make sure you find time to take things in, take a huge deep breath and relax and BE PRESENT!

I found out I still DON'T like Twizzlers, even if they are red, white and blue colored. Bleh! I couldn't even bring myself to chew it up!! That picture is not featured. haha. :)

Hip Hip Hooray for July!

Not only is it my birthday month, but it's my favorite summer month. I'm looking forward to the things I have for you in the month of July. 


  
For starters, beginning on July 8th, I'm doing a Eat Well… Be Healthy 2-Week FREE Slim Down Challenge with a few other coaches. We've seen amazing results from groups we've done in the past. It's a great way to jump start your weight loss, push you out of a plateau, and help you get back on track after a holiday weekend!!! Cleanse Results

The moment of truth...was the past 3 days of doing the Shakeology cleanse worth it??

My personal results are in! 

                                                I lost 5 lbs in 3 days. 
                                         My energy levels feel higher. 
                             My appetite has decreased so have my cravings. 
       I discovered how much I love green tea, so I plan on drinking more of that.
                        I'm ready to continue jump starting my weight loss. 

Next weight loss goal is...: 160 lbs by the end of August.

Final day. Day 3!!

Breakfast- green tea, chocolate shake, and  a 1/2 cup of fruit (strawberries and grapes.) 

Snack was a banana. 

Lunch was another chocolate shake. 

Dinner was the same type of salad I've had  the past two days. Mmmm!!! I could eat salads everyday!!

Day 2

Came home from working 3rd shift, tried taking a nap but failed miserably at doing so. Soooo. I got up and made me some green tea. 



                       Delicious!!!!

Then came breakfast...


A shake and 1/2 cup of  fresh fruit. 

Snack- was a banana

Then came lunch...

 
More green tea and yes another shake. 

So far so good. I keep looking at it as I'm almost done with the 3 day cleanse. I have a day and a half left!! Woot woot!!!! 

I might of picked the wrong time of the month to do a cleanse...*hint hint* 

I'm craving everything!! For some reason I want BBQ chicken pizza, homemade of course!! Maybe that will be Mondays dinner. :) Oooo especially on the grill!!!

Day 1

I started a 3 day cleanse today. I've never done a cleanse of any type before, so here goes nothing!


 Green tea, grapes, and my chocolate shake full of super foods goodness. Breakfast-Snack. :) 

Lunch- another shake, and more green tea. I loooove green tea!!! 

Dinner-salad!! Greens, cucumbers, grape tomatoes, and chicken with raspberry ving. DELICIOUS!!!!!! 

Day 1 is over with, now I just have to get through the rest of the night.

My New Love

Earlier this year, I entered a contest by Dasani/Coke, and right afterwards I received an email informing me I won a BIKE and that it would take 8-12 weeks to be delivered. 

So as time went by, I completely forgot about the winning. Till one day...I received another email, saying my bike had been shipped! Yay! :)

Then it arrived. 

 I'm in LOVE with it!!
I feel like a kid on Christmas. :) 

I went for an hour long bike ride yesterday.
Amaze-balls!!

What an awesome work out. 
Thought I'd share, I not only workout by running, and a variety of Beachbody workout programs, but now I've fallen in love with cycling. Even though my bike isn't a high speed bike, I love it, and I love riding on it. That's all that matters, right??

Hump Day

Happy Wednesday everyone!!! 

I can't believe next week is going to be July already! Crazy how time flies by. I remember being in elementary or even high school and how the school year would drrrrraaaaaaag on and the summer felt like eternity. Why can't adults have 3 months off for summer break? Haha. :) One can dream right? 

Almost forget to mention, yesterday was the half way point to Christmas!! I don't even want to begin thinking about snow. I think I was meant to live by the beach. Someday!!

Baby steps

Remember back to my first post about my weight loss process? Well if not, I mentioned what helped me PUSH through my one year plateau, YES I said ONE YEAR!! The answer was an Eat Clean challenge group on Facebook. I've done two eat clean groups total and I've lost 12lbs and I've kept with it. 

What's a Challenge group you might be wondering? 

A challenge group is a private Facebook group that becomes a community of others who have the same goals as you. Usually consisting anywhere from 5-10 members, and honestly one of the best ways to keep yourself motivated. It's also an exciting way to get the constant inspiration and encouragement you need to stay committed and achieve your fastest results. 
  
I'm starting a challenge group beginning on July 1st, it's on a Monday so not only the beginning of a new week, but the start of a new month! 

How convenient is that?!
